Who we are

DuoTennis (duotennis.com) helps you find tennis and padel partners near you. For anything related to your personal data, write to info@duotennis.com — the operator of this site answers directly.

What we collect and why

Account: your email address and the name your sign-in provider (Google) shares with us — or just your email address if you sign in with an email link. We use it to create and secure your account.

Location: the approximate coordinates of your home area and a city label. You set them yourself, by allowing browser geolocation or by typing a city. We use them for exactly one thing: matching you with players inside your chosen radius. We never track your live position.

Contact details you choose to add: a phone number and/or a Telegram username. They are shown to other signed-in players so a match can message you outside the app.

Your game profile: sports, level, formats, weekly availability, an optional photo and a short bio — everything you enter on your profile page. While the “I'm looking for a partner” switch on your profile is on, that profile is shown to other signed-in players inside the matching radius: your display name, photo, city, bio, sports, level, formats and how far away you are.

Technical session data: the IP address and browser identifier stored with your sign-in session, used to keep the session secure.

Legal bases

We process account and profile data to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract). Location and optional contact details are processed with your consent — you can change or remove them in your profile at any time. Session security data is processed under our legitimate interest in keeping accounts safe.

Who processes your data

Cloudflare hosts the application and the database and derives a coarse country code from your connection.

Google handles sign-in when you choose “Continue with Google”.

Resend delivers sign-in emails; this involves a transfer to the United States covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.

OpenStreetMap Nominatim turns coordinates into a city name and back. Only the coordinates or the city text you typed are sent — never your name or email.

Cookies

We set a session cookie that keeps you signed in, short-lived cookies during the sign-in exchange, and a cookie that remembers your language. All of them are strictly necessary or serve a function you asked for. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies on this site — which is why there is no cookie banner.

How long we keep data

Your data stays for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account (the Delete account button in your profile) immediately removes your profile, availability, photo, sessions and account records. Sign-in sessions expire on their own, and email sign-in links expire within minutes.

Your rights

You can read and correct everything we hold about you directly in your profile, and erase it with the Delete account button. For a copy of your data in a portable format, or anything else, email info@duotennis.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

Any change is published on this page with a new date at the top.
